***Date Change*** Team Pictures ****Very Important****
Girls, please make every effort to be at Dow Park this Thursday, October 1, 2009 for team pictures.
Time: 6:30 PM
Place: Dow Park
Wear your blue uniforms. We will train after pictures so plan on just staying through the regular training time.
We are planning on the photographer taking a head shot of each player to be used in our flyers for the showcase tournaments in November and December. It really makes the flyer look professional when all the player pictures are identical.
Again, make every effort to attend this session

Select Open Season with an Exciting Win
After a very long break between matches, Quest Select was finally able to start the fall season this past Sunday with a very wild match against the Dynamos. Select started out a little slow and the rust was really showing from not playing more matches during the pre-season. The Dynamo struck first scoring in only the 5th min of play and then again 11 min later putting the Quest girls in a very big hole.
The heart and resilience of the Quest girls would very quickly come through as the first half of the match was moving into the latter minutes. After several very good attacks by the Select girls the drought was ended by Analise as she put away a very nice ball that was loose in the Dynamos box cutting the lead in half in the 33rd min. However, the Select girls were not done as the half was winding down in the 44th min Haleigh broke free and buried a shot pulling the teams even, headed into halftime.
The second half of the match displayed the class of the entire Select team as the Quest girls control the ball for a majority of the time, out shooting the Dynamos in the second half 12 to 3. In the 14th min, Jordan broke the tie with a great little flick shot into the far post side netting from a deflected shot by Kelli. As the second half played out the Select girls control the speed and rate of play with outstanding mid-field play by Theresa, Jenna, Haleigh, Carlee, Megan, Brittani R., Erin Y., Jordan and Tiffany. The Dynamo was hard pressed to push any attacks forward as the Quest defense was overwhelming lead by Elyssa, Elizabeth, Brittany M., and Nikki. While the Dynamo defense was pushed to the limit by strikers Analise, Christina and Kelli. Directing all the action and recording a second half “cleansheet” was goal keeper Elyssabeth who showed great heart bouncing back after a tough first half. In the final minutes of the match as the Dynamo was trying to create any kind of an attack, the Select girls kept the pressure on. The match was placed on ice in the 45th min the match, when Jordan scored her second goal as Select won their first match pulling away, with a final score of 4 – 2.
